    La Fontaine de Saumane is considered as one of the most beautiful villas in Provence. With its 40-acre site and 25 m x 5 m swimming pool, it is without a doubt one of the most sumptuous luxury villas in our Provence properties listing. A tennis court is also accessible if you wish to stretch a little after a day relaxing by the heated and spacious pool.

    The Fontaine de Saumane is located close to the Mont Ventoux and Luberon. Its central locality is perfect for a vacation in Provence if you wish to explore the region. This one is also ideal for large groups. As the luxury villa has 7 en-suite bedrooms, an apartment in the main house. And a guest house a little set away, with two bedrooms sharing a bathroom.

    The beautiful villa wears its name well! Indeed, you will find on the site many stunning fountains. Its history is also fascinating, in fact, the villa has been used as a tile making factory, but also as a Benedictine Priory. The site was also used for silk agriculture in the 19th century.

    What we love about Fontaine de Saumane, is its magnificence, French touch, and refinement. But also its location, as this one is located near L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, famous for its canals and stream. A charming town where you will find all you need during your stay in Provence.

    You will find in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue all sorts of shops, from grocery stores to local bakeries, butchers. The town of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is considered as a middle-sized town due to its surface area of around 44,57 km2. With up to 19,398 citizens, the town is in constant expansion. That is why the city offers a wide variety of restaurants, gift and local food shops. If you are a black truffle lover, we recommend you to stop by the shop Signorini TARTUFI.

    L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is also internationally known for its antique markets and stores. You will find here some unique and sought-after French antique furniture. The town is also known for its art galleries, you will be able to discover some typical French artists and maybe bring back a work of art as a souvenir from Provence.

    Fontaine de Saumane is the perfect luxury villa for a family-friendly holiday and large groups. The villa offers all facilities such as a large heated pool and spacious garden, air conditioning and a tennis court.

    -30 hours per week of cleaning. The housekeeper works daily for 6 hours. She is also available to do additional cleaning, laundry, shop, prepare breakfast and meals.

    -A full-time staff member will bring you breakfast pastries every day

    The closest train station is at Avignon (around 43 minutes). The closest airports are in Avignon (around 30 minutes) and Marseille (around 1 hour).

    Great Michelin star restaurants are located in Avignon, you will find La Mirande and Christian Etienne. Two well-known French gastronomic restaurants.

    A beautiful Provençal market in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is also worth a visit. This one takes place every Thursday from 8 am to noon at the « Place Rose Goudard » and every Sunday from 8 am to 13 pm in the city center.

    If you are a nature lover we recommend you to take some time to hike the Mont Ventoux. Some of our favorites are: the green trail – 2.2 km (1h), the yellow trail – 4.7 km (2h), the red trail – 5.5 km (2h30) and the grand tour (green + yellow + red) – 4h.
