Robion / Vaucluse

Mas de Mournier can be counted in the category of property
that offers the best of both worlds in respect of location.
It's a village house, with all that has to offer in terms of local amentities, but once inside the property you enjoy total
privacy, at all times of the day and night.

The heated swimming pool measures 8 x 3.5 metres with an extra square metre for the Roman steps leading into the pool. The depth changes from 1.50 to 1.90 metres, but remains 1.50 around the edge for children's protection.

To the left of the pool there are a line of Platane trees providing shade (much better than sun umbrellas), and the other side of the pool is reserved for sun worshippers. Lots of sun loungers are provided for your comfort.

You are aware that you're in a villge because you can see roof tops over the tall hedges, but that's about all. You're not over-looked, whether you're by the heated pool or in the lovely courtyard. This is an ideal compromise of location and convenience.

This wonderful night scene demonstrates (if ever it was needed) that the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down.

The large, inviting and elegant sitting room has a triple and a double sofa plus two large pouffes to put your feet up. There's a telly, but the younger ones can watch TV in the day room on the first floor. This room also has a dining table, just in case.

The fully equipped kitchen combines to respect the character of the house whilst ensuring that the cook has all the modern amenities required to prepare wonderful Provencal delights!

The interior of the property has been finished with a great deal of care, and as you might expect, they continue to improve the property year on year. The furnishings in the house are interesting, seeming to tell a story about the history of the family and their travelling experiences.

The day room is just perfect for kids. There's the snooker table to keep them entertained, plus satellite TV, DVD and a piano. There's also a small library, but the books tend to be French. This room can be separated from the ground floor by French sliding windows which act as great sound proofing.

The courtyard is a warm, inviting, green, comfortable environment ideal for dining alfresco. You also have the small lawned area
which is ideal for small children to play safely and indeed for a towel to be thrown down so you can sun bathe.
There is a large table and a built-in barbecue under the covered area where meals can be prepared and consumed.
The kitchen is just the other side of the courtyard, so very convenient.

A bamboo four poster bed dominates this en-suite double bedroom. A large bed once again. The spacious room houses a couple of sofa chairs as well as objet d'art from around the world.

This is the en-suite master bedroom on the first floor, boasting a 180cm double bed. The room is very spacious, with a sofa, writing table and antique furniture. The colour scheme is mauve, with 'off white' walls. Very soft and welcoming. From this room you can descend a few steps directly into the outer garden pool area.

This is a shower room with a double sink. The view from the window over the Luberon hills is wonderful. The double bedroom shown to the right also has a single bed in the room which is not counted in the 10 person occupancy. In certain circumstances the owners allow an eleventh guest, but this would usually be a baby or a young child.

Imaginative and stylish, the en-suite bathroom is a pleasure to behold. A melange of old and new guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

What a bathroom! Dominated by the modern design bath this room boasts a double Italian shower plus two separate sinks. Lots of lighting - just perfect.

The other double and twin bedded rooms are to be found on the opposite side of the day room. They share the elegant bathroom shown to the left.

The sitting room is a delight. The huge arched windows allow light to flood into the room giving the impression of even more space to relax. The working fire place makes this property a strong candidate for winter rentals, particularly the for the festive season.

Next to the swimming pool in the outer garden you have this studio which boasts a 160 cm double bedded room and an en-suite shower room. Perfect for a couple who want that little bit more independence or where mobility is an issue.

Fronted by an attractive cast iron door and windows the light floods in. There's a small library, but most of the books are French. There's also a fridge in this room which is very practical if you want to prepare the aperatif to enjoy around the pool.

The colour scheme throughout the property has been carefully thought out, providing a harmony between the natural rustic feel of the old farmhouse and the evident comfort of the accommodation.

Seen in the background of the pool photograph below, the day room offers a wonderful place to sit and relax whilst keeping an eye on the kids playing in or around the pool.
