Above and below illustrates the open plan and split level lounge/dining area. Both are wonderfully spacious and light. Large picture windows and a door lead from the lounge area to the poolside. Though Provence in the warmer months is an absolute delight, if your 'druthers' are to visit during the cooler months.....I cannot recommend a better place to curl up by the fire with a good book ..."whether the weather be good or bad....." ! The icing on the scene would of course be a glass of delicious red!  |
The kitchen at La Melomane has been designed for foodies with work spaces in several areas allowing 'x' number of chefs and/or their helpers to participate. For those who prefer to observe (whilst sipping!), there's the comfort of the wooden kitchen table, out of the way but at the heart of it all! 
The dining area is two steps down to the lounge and with windows to the street, so light is arriving from all directions throughout the day. A door through to the kitchen provides easy access if you've chosen to dine inside. |

The master bedroom on the first floor has a 200cm king sized bed, side tables, good reading lights and a few over the rooftops. Double glass doors lead out to the first floor sun terrace.  This enormous bedroom has a (180cm) kind sized bed with side tables, good reading lights, an armoir for hanging items and a large chest of drawers for 'the smalls'. It's lounge area overlooks the rooftops and the pool below. There's an enclosed wood-burning fire though the central heating is extremely efficient. Should you feel inclined, there's a television here also.  Tiled floors throughout, traditional wooden ceiling beams, the clean lines and freshness of white painted walls, the use of natural fibres and minimalist decoration.....a winning combination for comfort and style. This second floor bedroom houses a queen sized (180cm) bed, built-in wardrobe, bedside tables and reading lights and a remote control fan.  Another of the second floor bedrooms with it's queen sized (180cm) bed, views over the neighbouring rooftops and a delightfully romantic atmosphere. A built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers/dressing table and a remote control fan.  On the second floor and with a queen sized (180cm) bed, this room is also very spacious and comfortable. Traditional wooden beams and tiled floors help to retain the antiquity of the house; modern facilities ensure your comfort. |
Ensuite to the master bedroom is an open-plan large bath/shower room. A two-person jacuzzi, two hand basins, a shower and an enclosed w.c. Sunshine poors in through the windows....excellent light for the make-up should you be preparing for a special occassion!  Below is the shower room which can be used by the bedroom on the first floor (photographed left) or by any of the occupants of the second floor bedrooms .... though there's a bath/shower room up there also!   This bath/shower room is shared by the bedrooms on the second floor. Wtih bath and shower over, hand basin and plenty of light, it's been well designed with it's excellent use of space and light. There is a w.c. apart so no need for anyone to be kept waiting!  This second floor bedroom is spacious and light, as they all are. Two 90cm beds, with built-in wardrobe, a large chest of drawers/dressing table, bedside tables and reading lights. Windows for good light and remote control fans for the warmer months. |
