La Bastide at Mazan ia a little oasis, hidden away in a spread out residential area just a few minutes drive from the village centre, and ideally located for those looking to explore everything the Vaucluse, les Alpilles and the Luberon have to offer.  
The swimming pool dominates the garden and really draws you in. As well as the main pool that measures an impressive12 x 6.5 metres, you can see in the forground of the above image a paddling area measuring 7 x 3 metres which is ideal for the little ones. Needless to say, parental guidance is recommended at all times. |

 The pool house provides shade in the hottest parts of the day, but it also offers a wonderful place to serve the aperatif after your evening shower. |

Large french windows open out from the kitchen onto this terraced area at the back of the house, an ideal place to eat breakfast before the sun gets too high in the sky. With so may mature trees in the garden however, there's always somewhere to sit and relax in mottled shade.  |

 Again, the sitting area is spacious, light and airy. Whilst the house doesn't benefit from air conditioning, sensible use of the shutters and windows should ensure that the temperature inside the house remains comfortable.  For those poor souls who need to work during their holiday this reception room offers the perfect environment. The shutters are generally kept shut so the temperature is refreshingly cool in this area. |
The dining area inside the house is open plan with the kitchen which makes children's meal preparation and service very easy indeed. It's just a few steps out of the french windows to the terrace with outdoor dining facilities.  The games room is a real hit with the younger ones, but please note that one of the double bedrooms is only curtained off from this area as it was designed as a complementary dressing room. As well as the pool table you have a music system, games and a fully working pin ball machine.  |

All the bedrooms are situated on the first floor, as is the games room which boasts a working pin ball machine as well as the pool table.    The 3 double bedrooms shown immediately above share a shower room on the first floor, because in practice the occupants tend to share the large bathroom in the photographs above, which s split into two areas, one with the large corner bath, the other with an Italian shower. |
