In the garden, which has a beautiful view looking out over vineyards towards the Mont Ventoux, there is a refreshing 7 x 3 metre pool and lots of garden furniture. The pool is for the private use of the guests at Mas Madeleine

The ground floor is dominated by the lounge and dining areas which open out directly into the garden. Light floods in through the conservatory windows bringing the natural interior materials to life.

Guests can either dine at the table in the dining area or under the covered pergola which overlooks the pool, allowing you to keep an eye on the kids.

The Mas benefits from a fully equipped kitchen. The is also a Wifi connection providing high speed internet access. There is also a TV and DVD player. French terrestrial TV is availble. There is a telephone which takes incoming calls. You can buy a phone card from the local newsagent if you want to make calls during your stay.

The Mas sits just on the edge of Caromb, so it's a short stroll to the local shops. Carpentras is less than 10 minutes by car, and Avignon less than 30 minutes (airport, TGV and A& autoroute).

Caromb boasts one of the largest Roman churches in the Vaucluse, built in the 15th Century, containing numerous works of art including the Grabuset tryptique, the tomb of Etienne de Vaesc (died 1501), and an italian baroque organ dating from 1701, now renovated and operational.

Caromb's resources are primarily agricultural, in particular producing grafts for vines. Caromb is an active, working village therefore local life is busy all year round.

Every Tuesday morning Caromb has its own market where you can buy all the groceries you need plus a wide selection of Provencal linen, arts and crafts.

The Mont Ventoux is 10 minutes by car, and can be
clearly seen from the garden.

Lac du Paty is a privelaged holiday spot for the locals who love to swim, fish, picnic and enjoy the hiking trails in
the surrounding area. In fact Lac du Paty is a dam, created during the mid 1700's, it has, over the centuries,
enhanced the quality of life for the neighbouring farms and villages alike. Originally used for agriculture as well
as pleasure, Lac du Paty is a 5 minute drive from Caromb.

The most difficult art of all is creating beauty from simplicity. The owner of Mas Madeleine has done a wonderful job achieving just that.

Both bedrooms are en-suite, both have baths and showers.
The toilets are separate for your convenience. Due to demand, the owner has now replaced the twin beds in one of the rooms with a double.

The bedrooms are light and welcoming. Pale colours and terra cotta tiles provide a mediterranean feel.
