Arriving at the property you follow the cypress bordered drive to arrive at this beautifully maintained family house. The Bastide has a well tended garden, and a large lawned area in front of the house where every year the men indulge in a game of footy.

La Sorguette is a haven of peace. Past guests have described the ambience the house offers as 'peaceful energy and spirit'. The sitting room is spacious and luminous, with its high ceiling and glass frontage. The prefect place to relax and entertain your friends.

A small canal called canal de Saint Albergati delivers water from the river Sorgue and flows under part of the house. The canal brings a source of freshness to the surroundings, providing a contrast to the heat of the Provencal summer months.

Parents should be aware that, whilst the canal is not deep, access is not restricted by security fencing. Children must therefore be supervised accordingly.

There is a large pergola covered terraced area at the front of the property, ideal for dining outdoors.

Plants and trees abound at la Sorguette giving the property a soft, country feel. There are lots of areas around the property where you can stop to read, eat or just take the time to day dream.

During the letting season the owner of La Sorguette lives in a small appartment annexed to the main house. Her presence during your holiday is decided by you. Apart from providing you with all the information you could possibly need about the area, Béatrice is always on hand to offer her services to make your stay in Provence an unforgettable one.

Béatrice regularly organises the following for her guests:
- buying groceries ready for your arrival
- a wine tasting afternoon
- cooking a meal for your arrival
- driving a mini-bus for day outings
- inviting a chef to prepare a meal at the house

The small lounge offers somewhere to relax and read, watch TV or DVDs.

The elegant staircase leads you to the first floor where you will find:

- 1 shower room with toilets
- 1 large bathroom with toilet.
There are also toilets on the first floor, and a laundry room
with a washing machine and a dryer.

The house is lived in most of the year by the family, and nothing is removed during lets. This adds a dimension to the house which cannot normally be found in rented accommodation. You sense the warmth and character normally unassociated with holiday rentals.
