With every year the garden brings new growth, new colour and an additional comfort. The aromatic herbs and plants surround the pool are a delight. The olive trees and well established hedges create a wonderful 'frame' around the property. |
 The L-shaped design of the house means the loung room is together ... but apart! With delightfully comfortable sofas and chairs, an open fireplace for the winter months, music, Freesat digital television for UK viewing, lots of books and magazines ... La Gallardo is certainly a house to consider if you're holiday time is during the cooler months. Christmas in Provence is delightful! |
The open-plan design of the interior of La Gallardo creates a wonderfully spacious and light feeling. Double doors lead out to the summer kitchen and dining area and to the terraces. If indoor dining is the go, then the simple and elegant table sits 'across the bar' from the kitchen so the elected chef for the evening can continue to be part of the conversation.  |
 This well thought out eat-in kitchen is spacious, extremely well equipped and friendly. The dividing 'bar' between the kitchen and the dining area keeps the kitchen apart but not the chef! Dishwasher, cooktop, microwave, oven, toaster and kettle, the shelves and cupboards are full of quality equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware.....they've thought of it all! Though I must admit, I did forget to see if there was an oyster shucker! |
 One bedroom is on the ground floor, the other three are on the first floor. This bedroom offers a queen sized bed, excellent reading lights, good space and stunning views.  Two of the bedrooms offer a unique configuration of beds suitable for families or couples. The three single beds (90cm) can be kept as that, or two of them can be put together to create a king sized (180cm) bed.  There are two bedrooms with queen sized beds and ensuite shower rooms. Doors to the terraces and gardens, gorgeous view of the Alpilles mountains, each bedroom.....the whole house.....offers privacy and space when needed, togetherness when desired.  |
 The ensuite shower room has shower, hand basin, w.c. and twoel rails. Always light and spacious.....a lot of thought has gone into the layout of this house, the facilities and the comfort are of great importance and are all here.  Each of the bedrooms has an en-suite shower room with shower, w.c. hand basins and towel rails. All are spacious, colourful and light. The linens are plentiful!  This is the second 'family' room which can be presented as three single beds or again, two can be put together to create a king-sized bed. So the two 'multi/family' rooms are very comfortable for three and more so for two! |
 'La gallardo' has been purpose built as a holiday home. Traditional Provencal design and style upper most in the minds of the owners, with open and covered terraces, light, shade.....all according to the sun, seasons and landscape. The mountain range called The picturesque 'Les Alpilles' run down the open valley and offer fabulous walking trails and photographic opportunities. |
